Sclerotherapy - Vein Injections
Sclerotherapy is a treatment option for small thread veins found on your legs. A harmless yet common problem that can leave you self-conscious when they appear on the exposed areas of your legs.
How does it work?
Sclerotherapy is the process by which a chemical solution is injected at multiple points along the vein, which imitates the lining of your vein wall and in combination with compression, causes the vein wall to collapse. Your body then absorbs the vein overtime leaving with you smoother looking legs. Sclerotherapy is a safe and effective treatment that has been used now for many years. When the treatment is performed properly and the treatment area is correctly managed, complications are extremely rare, however there are always some risks which can include temporary pigmentation, skin ulcers and allergic reactions.
What results can I expect?
Sclerotherapy is a safe and effective treatment so that when summer comes around, you will be proud to show off your new legs.
How many treatments will I need?
You will significant improvement in the treated vein after just one treatment but you will most likely need several treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. The number of treatments will vary dependent upon your individual circumstances but on average, clients have between 2 and 4 treatments. A personal plan will be discussed in your consultation.
