Laser Hair Removal
How do you treat unwanted hair?
Epsom Skin Clinics uses the most advanced FDA cleared ND:YAG Laser technology for permanent hair reduction. We use both the Fotona SP-Dynamis and Fotona XP-MAX Laser machines to safely and effectively treats all ethnic origins and skin types including tanned skin. A consultation and patch test will be necessary before treatment.
How does it work?
Energy from the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle while your hair is in its anagen or active phase of growth. The light is converted into heat, causing thermal damage to the follicle without harming the surrounding tissue. Hair re-growth is impeded in the damaged follicle.
We are offering 30% Off a course of three treatments and 40% off a course of six giving you great hair removal savings.

How permanent is the hair reduction?
The average patient sees a 48% reduction in hair growth after three treatments and up to an 80% lasting reduction after 8 to 12 treatments but results will vary from person to person. After you have completed a series of 4 to 6 treatments, any remaining hair will usually be finer and lighter in colour. Most patients require one or two touch-up treatments per year.
How long does hair removal take?
Treatments take between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the area being treated. Prior to laser treatment we may apply a topical anaesthetic, used to numb the area, but in most cases this is not required and we simply use cold air to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
How many laser hair removal treatments do I need?
Only 30% or less of your hair may be in the active phase at any one time depending on the body area. Therefore, a series of treatments will be required to achieve the long term improvement you desire. These treatments are spaced approximately 4 - 6 weeks apart, based on hair growth cycles. Our extensive experience tells us that you can expect to need a minimum of 9 treatments to each treatment area for long lasting optimal results.
