Q-Tone is a non-ablative skin rejuvenation treatment designed to treat photo damaged skin including redness and irregular hyper-pigmentation. This treatment is performed with low energy level settings on our QX MAX laser using both Q-Switch Nd:YAG 1064nm and KTP 532nm.
How does it work?
The Q-Switch Nd:YAG penetrates deep into the skin shattering any dermal pigmentation. A secondary effect of this step is deep dermal heating which stimulates the formation of elastin. This results in a firmer more even looking skin tone. The second step of the treatment uses the KTP 532nm frequency. This targets superficial pigmentation and any redness in the skin.
What results can I expect?
After a course of treatment you can expect to see an improvement in skin texture, tone and pigmentation. To achieve the maximum results we recommend a course of 3-4 treatments spaced at 4 week intervals. Following the treatment you may experience some mild redness. Clients can resume daily activities straight away but we recommend the use of an SPF 50 to protect the skin.
Will I need a consultation before the treatment?
Prior to treatment you will need a consultation with one of our aesthetic therapists. During this consultation we will check you are suitable for treatment and assess your skin using our Observ Skin Analysis. The treatment will be explained to you including pre and post care and patch test will be performed to ensure your skin will tolerate the treatment.
What is the recommended aftercare?
Your therapist will recommend homecare depending on your concerns but this will always include an SPF 50 to protect the skin from UV light following your laser procedure.
How much does it cost?
The treatment costs £125
How long does the treatment take?

Is the facial painless?

Is the treatment safe?
Fotona Lasers are FDA approved for the removal of pigmentation and vascular conditions and we follow the protocols and guidelines written by them.
What is the recovery time like?
Skin concerns may appear worse for 24-48 hours before they start to improve. This includes pigmentation and redness.
Will I see immediate results?
Results can be seen from one week however a course of treatment is recommend to obtain maximum results.
Why should I choose this facial?
This treatment is ideal for clients who have an uneven skin tone including sun damage and redness. The treatment will also stimulate new collagen and elastin so is great for clients looking for an anti-ageing procedure.
How long will facial redness last for after the treatment?
The skin may appear mildly red for the first 12 hours. You should not experience any flaking or peeling from this treatment.
Is there anything I should avoid doing after treatment e.g sunbathing?
We recommend waiting 30 days before you expose the area to sun. Once the area is exposed to sun you will have to wait 30 days before your next treatment.
