For skin tag, wart and verruca removal, Epsom Skin Clinics also use the ConMed Hyfrecation machine to perform all of our Hyfrecation treatments. This machine has been the number one product of choice by doctors for in practice electro-surgery for almost 70 years. Hyfrecation is extremely versatile can also be used for Electrolysis of unwanted hair.
How does it work?
Hyfrecation uses targeted electrical energy delivered to either a forcep or blunt point, to directly destroy skin lesions. The level of damage is able to be accurately controlled maximising client comfort and aesthetic result. When using the machine for electrolysis a needle is attached to the hand piece and inserted into the hair follicle. This destroys the follicle so it can no longer produce hair. Ideal for thin, grey or light coloured hair that does not respond well to either laser or IPL.
What results can I expect from the treatment?
Treated area will scab for 3-5 days. Do not pick, peel, rub, scrub or irritate your skin in any way while it is healing, as this may cause scarring. Especially dry areas should be kept hydrated.
How many treatments will I need?
You may resume your regular skin care routine 5 days after treatment, once the area is healed. A personal plan will be discussed in your consultation.
