The Carbon Facial is a two step, non-ablative skin refining treatment designed to exfoliate and refresh the skin giving a smoother firming clearer looking skin. The treatment also reduces oil-production, enlarged pores and active acne. The treatment can be performed on the face, chest and back.
How does it work?
The first stage of the treatment involves applying a layer of liquid carbon over the face. This penetrates deep into the pores, absorbing oil and dead skin cells. The Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser targets and destroys the carbon particles blasting away dead skin cells with it. The heat produced from the laser reduces the P.Acnes bacteria responsible for Acne and also shrinks the sebaceous glands reducing oil production with the skin. Carbon peels also target the deeper layers of the skin stimulating collagen production. This results in a firmer more refined looking skin.
What results can I expect?
After a course of treatment you can expect to see a reduction in:
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Enlarged pores
- Acne, scars and post acne discoloration
- Dead skin cells from the superficial epidermal layer
To achieve the maximum results we recommend a course of 3-6 treatments spaced at 10-14 days apart. Following the treatment you may experience some mild redness. Clients can resume daily activities straight away but we recommend the use of an SPF 50 to protect the skin.

Prior to treatment you will need a consultation with one of our aesthetic therapists. During this consultation we will check you are suitable for treatment and assess your skin using our Observ Skin Analysis. The treatment will be explained to you including pre and post care and patch test will be performed to ensure your skin will tolerate the treatment.
