What is BTL Emsella Pelvic Floor Therapy?
Emsella is a non-invasive, high-intensity pelvic floor muscle strengthening treatment, with 95% patient satisfaction! Urinary incontinence is a common condition which occurs when your pelvic floor muscle is weakened, this is part of the natural ageing process but is also very common after we have children and when we reach the menopause.
While this muscle can be trained with exercises, many of us find it difficult to find the time and also to know if we are doing the exercises correctly. From minor occasional leaks when coughing and sneezing to constant leaks throughout the day many of us manage the condition by wearing pads which is both an inconvenience and can have a knock on effect on our self-confidence.
How does it work?
Emsella pelvic floor therapy uses electromagnetic energy to cause a pelvic floor contraction much deeper than we can achieve through exercise, the contractions are also far more frequent than we can replicate naturally giving us thousands of contractions in a single session! The most remarkable thing about this state of the art technology is that it works without having to remove a single item of clothing, the energy is able to target the weakened pelvic muscle through clothing meaning all you have to do is sit back and relax on a chair.
What results can I expect?
Working the pelvic muscle is the same principle as working any other muscle in the body so it builds gradually, the difference here is the process is much quicker so you will see the results building up over the course of a few weeks seeing the final full result of the strengthening six months after treatment .
Will I need a consultation?
Yes, it is important to have a consultation so we can determine a treatment plan for you and make sure you get the best results possible. This consultation is free and will be with one of our BTL Emsella specialists. There will be no physical examination for this treatment as we will be able to assess you by asking a series of questions about your general health and the condition of your pelvic muscle.

No, as you usually have all 6 treatments over two weeks, we recommend you start the course immediately after your last period this ensures there will be enough time to complete the course however if you do have your period during treatment we will just continue the course as soon as your period ends.
