Using a procedure very similar to laser liposuction
we can target the sweat glands of the armpit.
During this minor procedure we use a fine
cannula to deliver a safe, powerful laser to
separate the layers of skin and reduce
the number of active sweat glands.
- Permanently reduces sweating
by 50-70%
- Immediate results
- Minimally invasive and
low downtime
How does laser sweat reduction work?
A 2mm cannula containing a laser
optical fibre is inserted just under
the skin. Our doctor slowly guides
the laser through the treatment area.
The layers of fat are separated
by the laser which exposes
the sweat glands.
These can then be removed from the
body using a light suction device.
Due to the small size of the cannula,
scarring and recovery time are kept
minimal and as the procedure is performed
under local anaesthetic, clients are able to leave the clinic within 30 minutes of the procedure.
A compression garment is supplied and recommended to be worn for 2 weeks after treatment. |
Is laser sweat reduction safe?
Yes, all the instruments used are blunt and the heat from the laser coagulates the blood vessels which reduces bruising normally associated with other methods of removing sweat glands.
How long does laser sweat reduction take?
The treatment takes between 1 and 3 hours.
When will I notice a reduction in sweating?
A reduction will be noticed instantly. Final results will be apparent at 2-4 weeks.
