	Eye Bag Removal

The Eyebrow Hitch is a simple procedure carried out under local anaesthetic by Mr Geoff Wilson of Surrey Plastic Surgery Services. It restores the youthful feminine arch to the eyebrow.

It opens up the eye area and takes some of the heaviness of the upper eyelid away its pleasing yet subtle results are what make this procedure so popular.

What’s involved in an eyebrow hitch?
A small incision is made within the hair of the outer part of the eyebrow. A small space is created and then a stitch passed from the under-surface of the skin and attached to the forehead. The stitch is then tightened which elevates the outer part of the eyebrow. No stitches are normally required on the surface of the skin. The procedure takes about half an hour.

Is an eyebrow hitch right for you?
This treatment is ideal for women who have early heaviness of the upper eyelid skin with loss of the natural arching of the eyebrow.

It can help to restore symmetry of the eyebrows. It can be done as a standalone procedure or as part of a combination treatment regime with eye bag removal or a mini facelift.

What are the limitations of an eyebrow hitch?
This operation is normally only suitable for women. If the eyelids are very heavy it maybe only effective if done in combination with eye bag removal.

What are the potential side effects of an eyebrow hitch?
Post surgery there will be a little swelling of the skin above the outer eyebrow for a few days. Bruising is uncommon and would normally settle very quickly. Normal activities can be resumed the following day.

Very few complications arise with this procedure. Rarely the suture will break at an early stage, and will need to be redone but you can rely on our comprehensive aftercare to resolve any issues that may occur.
